Bullying, sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace can present substantial psychosocial risks, as well as the potential to generate wider consequences for employers, including reduced productivity, low morale, increased absenteeism, and staff turnover.
In addition to training all staff on what is considered as appropriate behaviour, it is also important to upskill your managers in managing and responding to inappropriate behaviour, should it arise.
Upskilled managers will play a key role in modelling appropriate workplace behaviour and ensuring that any instances of inappropriate behaviour are swiftly and appropriately managed in order to avoid these issues escalating.
